In a great green room, tucked away in bed, is in fact a little bunny."And to all of the familiar things within the softly lit room--to the picture with the three little bears sitting in chairs, towards the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and also the kittens, to everything 1 by one--he says goodnight."Goodnight room, goodnight moon.
Perhaps the perfect children's bedtime book, Goodnight Moon can be a brief poem of goodnight wishes from a young rabbit preparing for--or attempting to postpone--his own slumber."Clement Hurd's illustrations are easy and effective, alternating between tiny ink drawings and wide, brightly colored views with all of the little rabbit's room. He says goodnight to each object in sight and inside earshot, including the"quiet old lady whispering hush.
Finding all using the items talked about all through the book inside the pictures is truly a very good bedtime activity--a reappearing little mouse is specifically pesky. By the finish of the tiny rabbit's goodnight poem, the story has quieted to a whisper, as well since the drawings have darkened with nightfall. (Picture book) As you turn the final page, you can expect a sleepy smile and a minimum of a yawn or two.
